Vision

Since 2004, ForestWatch has been leading the charge to protect and restore the forests, chaparral, grasslands, rivers, wildlife, and wilderness along California’s Central Coast through education, advocacy, and when necessary, legal action. We are the only organization focused solely on protecting our region’s public lands, from the famed Big Sur coastline, to San Luis Obispo’s Santa Lucia Range and the Carrizo Plain, to the rugged backcountry of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

Goals

1. 1.ForestWatch believes that visiting our public lands and establishing meaningful connections are important steps to building a strong conservation movement.
2. 2.ForestWatch believes that as a nonprofit organization committed to ecological diversity, we have a responsibility to make diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice part of our core ideals.
3. 3.ForestWatch commits to protect and preserve our local public lands for the health of the environment and all living things that inhabit it.
