We are a small team which means everyone’s time is vital to the day-to-day functioning of the organization. This often means that there is little spare time for outside development, although it’s something we aspire to do more of in the future.

We partner with other non profits whose mission works together with ours. We like to increase awareness of our programs and mission by posting on social media, sharing our impact in local news and other marketing opportunities that come our way.

Meir Panim is constantly adapting to best serve our patrons while maintaining our budget. In the last year, as Israel recovered from the pandemic health crisis, the economic effects have a long lasting effect doubling the poverty rate. Providing meals for holidays, Meir Panim used to order catered meals to meet the increased volume. In the last year, to be able to provide more meals at a lower cost, we have pivoted to cooking all holiday meals from scratch, and developing partnerships where local volunteers would prepare and donate over 6,000 meals. Last spring, when the Russian and Ukrainian war broke out, Israel faced tens of thousands refugees coming to start a new life fleeing war. Meir Panim immediately mobilized our branches, and recruited Russian and Ukrainian speaking volunteers ready to help our new citizens with the traumatic transition into their new lives. We put up signs in each branch in both languages letting the refugees know our mission, and that we are available to help with meals and other resources. These gestures, and our staff and volunteers have enabled hundreds of refugees to recover with support and a helping hand.
