New Heights Youth, Inc.

Mission

New Heights is a sports-based youth development organization that helps young people from marginalized communities throughout New York City rise to their potential physically, emotionally, socially and academically. Our mission is to educate and empower promising underserved youth to be leaders, champions and student-athletes by developing the skills necessary for success in high school, college and life. Our programs combine basketball with educational and mentoring services that support college and career readiness, social emotional learning, and physical and mental health.

Goals

1.Having recently moved to our new headquarters in Brooklyn, New Heights is expanding our College Bound program to reach additional youth throughout New York City.
2.In 2021, New Heights moved to a new headquarters in Brooklyn where we have widened our reach through new services for the community across the areas of education, recreation and health. Working in partnership with corporate and community organizations, schools, hospitals and elected officials, we now serve nearly 2,000 youth annually – eight times the number we served prior to moving to Brooklyn.
3.In October 2024, New Heights launched a new strategic plan to set goals and outcomes through 2028. Our path forward includes investing in programs, partnerships, staffing and services to support our goal to serve over 3,400 youth annually by 2028.
