Turtle Conservancy

Mission

The Turtle Conservancy is dedicated to protecting threatened turtles and tortoises and their habitats worldwide. TC focuses its work on five strategic program areas: global wildlife and habitat protection, maintaining assurance colonies of endangered species, scientific research, combating the illegal wildlife trade, and outreach/education.

2.Global Assurance Colonies - Our conservation center in California is home to our work breeding critically endangered species, some extinct in the wild. However, in the past 5 years it has become home to our research team, education (K-12) programs, and wildlife trade rescue efforts for animals intercepted by federal authorities.
3.As our goals have grown, we have invested heavily in a more robust team to include more experienced non-profit leadership, accounting support, animal care experts, and educators.
