Mission

Lacking access to healthcare and medical services, Shelter Health clients increasingly present with comorbidities of complicated and serious health issues triggered by negative social determinants of living unsheltered. Comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, Early Detection, Aversion & Prevention assessment tools, point-of-care tests, and diagnostics, along with integrated clinic and collaborative treatments by physicians, nurses and clinic supervision abates the need for nonemergent ER visits. The Clinic, being co-located within the shelter where clients reside, is the key to success in resolving, controlling, managing, averting, and preventing health issues from exacerbating. The ultimate purpose is addressing unencumbered health issues, allowing clients to get jobs, become self-sufficient, and live a better quality of life once they exit the shelter.
