The nonprofit organization presents evidence of strategic thinking and goal setting through sharing their most important strategic goals.
Goal One: Our Gift of HOPE program in Meru, Kenya has expanded to assist 330 children (up from 315 in 2025) who have been orphaned due to AIDS. Gift of Hope provides nutritional and health support, along with fees for school and necessary uniforms. The program is led by social worker, Glorie Gitonga, a full-time employee of the Kaaga Synod, whose salary is paid for by the Center.
Goal Two: Achieving mission is key to our work. In January 2026, a group of six Center board, staff, and volunteers are meeting program leads in Namakkal, Kolkata, and Chennai, India to ensure that our dollars and programs are directly helping those impacted by HIV and AIDS. A July 2025 trip to Kenya and Rwanda accomplished the same goal, to consistently review and streamline our programs.
Goal Three: In 2025, a total of 11 committees met on a regular basis to create greater capacity for the Center to accomplish its goals. This included a financial committee, which brought in an investment manager to help solidify an investment policy moving forward. We have also brough on a development professional to assist in our plans for 2026, our 20th anniversary as a 501(c)3.
