Mission

We are Red Knights Vermont Chapter II, which covers Southern Vermont and based in Brattleboro. Our mission is to have fun and support a worthy cause: We do not claim to support one specific charity. Although the membership does from time to time receive requests for donations, each request is decided by a vote as to the support or the amount it wants to contribute. However, we do have our own mission, to continue with a program that was started by this chapter in the early part of our formation (2002). Our main intent is to raise money and purchase gasoline gift cards. Primarily given to cancer patients that are in treatment and need a little help with the high cost of gasoline. Although they are not exclusive to cancer patients and may be given to anyone who needs some assistance. The typical card is valued at $25.00 and depending on the situation one or more cards may be donated at a time. The cards are taken to the oncology unit at the area hospitals where they are distributed to the patients by the hospital staff. Each card is in an individual envelope along a letter on our letter head.
