COVID-19 has had a serious impact on our program's fundraising strategy. Common events such as 5k races, Galas, Golf Tournaments, and all in-person events had to be canceled.
How COVID-19 impacted the organization's delivery of programs:
The COVID-19 pandemic affected some of our programs in terms of their delivery due to health concerns. We have programs that work with children and the elderly and in-person activities were canceled so their programs either were put on hold or had to pivot to virtual experiences.
How this organization adapted to changing conditions caused by COVID-19:
Our programs quickly pivoted from in-person to digital. Everyone had to learn how to host virtual events and connect with their donor community in a different format. We are so proud of our programs and their perseverance and positivity we even started a newsletter campaign highlighting their efforts!
Innovations the organization intends to continue permanently after the pandemic:
We plan to continue our virtual events even after COVID. It has been wonderful being able to connect with our community members around the world. Our programs have also been able to reach new heights by removing the geographical boundary for their fundraising efforts.

Recently, through our feedback mechanisms, we learned that devoting time to simple yet practical things such as helping our community members login into their online portal and walk them through the different tools available to them, empowers them to feel comfortable and confident to use it on their own.
