Mission

PeopleForBikes works to get more people on bikes more often and make biking better for everyone.

Vision

Founded in 1999, the PeopleForBikes Foundation creates a prominent place for bikes in transportation, mobility, and recreation decisions at all levels of government. We ensure bikes are prioritized and positioned as a real solution to improve American's health, connect communities, boost local and state economies, strengthen our nation, and protect our planet.

Goals

1.By 2028, we’ll help 400 U.S. communities achieve a City Ratings score of 50 or higher (the threshold to becoming a great place to bike) by helping build more than 3,200 priority bike projects — from protected bike lanes to singletrack trails — and securing billions in infrastructure funding at all levels of government.
2.By 2028, we’ll get an additional 8 million people riding bikes, including 2 million committed riders who ride at least twice per week.
