Mission

The Phillips Wharf Environmental Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on environmental education. Our mission is to encourage, educate, and engage Chesapeake Bay stewards of all ages through interactive experiences showcasing the Bay’s ecosystem and its inhabitants.

Vision

Our vision is a healthy Chesapeake Bay with clean water, thriving fisheries, and access for all.

Goals

1.To expand our educational programs and clients.
2.To develop additional environmental restoration programing, especially now that invasive species rules are changing in the state of Maryland.
3.To buildout policies and organization documentation so that all employees, volunteers, and board members understand their roles and responsibilities and to ensure institutional knowledge is not lost over time.
