EDUCATE ILLINOIS CONSUMERS ON MATTERS RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES AND PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALTERNATIVE ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES WITHIN THE STATE OF ILLINOIS.

Goals

1.During a natural gas affordability crisis, CUB launched a "Better Heat" campaign focused on changing policy to ensure that the transition to building electrification is achieved in an equitable way.
2.Through a toll-free Consumer Hotline (1-800-669-5556) and a robust outreach program, CUB’s goal each year is to make contact with thousands of Illinois consumers concerned about their utility bills.
3.CUB is helping to implement the historic Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) through policy development and grassroots education. CEJA's goal is 100% carbon-free electricity for Illinois by 2045.
