Equine Rescue of Aiken

Mission

EQUINE RESCUE OF AIKEN'S MISSION IS TO RESCUE UNWANTED HORSES WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM ABUSE AND NEGLECT. EQUINE RESCUE OF AIKEN WORKS WITH SELECT RACE TRACKS TO REPURPOSE OFF THE TRACK THOROUGHBREDS, THEN REHABILITATES THE HORSES WITH THE GOAL TO PLACE THEM IN "FOREVER" HOMES. ALONG WITH RESCUING HORSES ALREADY IN TROUBLE, EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ON THE PLIGHT OF INHUMANELY TREATED ANIMALS IS PART OF OUR MISSION. WE HOPE TO INSPIRE THE PUBLIC, ESPECIALLY YOUTH, ON THE PROPER TREATMENT AND RESPECT THAT HORSES DESERVE.

1.Develop PonyPals, a children's program focused on horse care based on core values of Compassion, Confidence, Perseverance, Responsibility and Volunteerism.
2.April 2021, our Rescue center was burned to the ground in a raging fire. Total property damage was over $450,000. A Capital Campaign was launched in Q3 2021 focused on raising funds for rebuilding.
3.2. Develop a Communication Plan with a broader message to engage our community; Success stories; Promote events/campaigns; Volunteers in action; Introduce followers to our mission
