Mission

Heal Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit no-kill animal shelter, adoption center, and sanctuary, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need. Founded in 2006 and based in Youngwood, PA, our shelter and adoption center provides quality medical and daily care, food, and shelter to dogs, cats, and occasionally rabbits while they await their forever homes. Our 62-acre farm turned sanctuary as a refuge for abused and neglected farm animals including chickens, ducks, mini-mules, cows, pigs, sheep and goats

Vision

At Heal Animal Rescue, we are a voice for those who cannot speak. We spread awareness to rescue and inspire others to get involved and become advocates for all animals—large and small.

Goals

1.Reach start up expenses and launch our new mobile medical clinic to provide weekly spay/neuter surgeries, decrease the length of shelter stay, and increase adoption rates.
2.Retain 99% live rate, no-kill status and responsible rehoming by creating at-risk training and behavioral services with shelter enrichment; staff, volunteer, adopter training; and medical services.
3.Build engagement with veterinary schools to provide a pipeline for local animal advocates to gain formal education with the hands-on experience from working with animals in our care.
