Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region
Mission
MISSION: We champion our diverse creative community as a vital part of the region’s identity and economy through service, connection, and advocacy. The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (a.k.a. COPPR) is the nonprofit local arts agency that serves the City of Colorado Springs and the greater Pikes Peak region (El Paso and Teller Counties) in Colorado. Because of its unique regional role, the Cultural Office's programs each serve a need in the community that is not met by any other organization. We work to ensure that the creative sector grows in economic vitality and depth of impact, that creative workers can thrive in our community, and that the arts are leveraged to positively address regional economic development, education, cultural tourism, and quality of life. As the region's local arts agency, we aim to efficiently and cost-effectively to achieve immeasurably more than any one artist or cultural organization could do independently. The arts are an ecosystem - and at the Cultural Office, we want to ensure that all parts of that ecosystem are healthy, thriving, and fully integrated into the fabric of our community.
Vision
A community united by creativity.
Goals
- 1.ADVOCATE: serving as a respected and recognized leader in advocacy for our creative sector. As the local arts agency for the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso and Teller counties, the Cultural Office is a critical representative for the creative sector at many influential tables at the local, regional, and state level. Our strategic plan identifies 5 strategies to advance this work.

As the main promotional agency for the creative sector in our service area, our promotional programs are critical to increasing arts participation and awareness, and building cultural tourism. Our strategic plan outlines 5 strategies for this goal.
- 3.CONVENE: bringing together the arts, cultural, and creative community to foster collaboration, networking, and innovation. In the years post-pandemic, the Cultural Office is committed to advancing our sector through strong relationships, collaborations, and connectivity to leverage collective strength. We do this in a variety of ways year-round, crossing silos to convene diverse creative leaders.
