Mission

Got Your Back San Diego (GYBSD) is a weekend food assistance program for children attending San Diego schools whose primary source of nutrition is school cafeteria food, Monday through Friday. On weekends, many of these kids have little to nothing of any nutritional value to eat. GYBSD provides children with 6 meals, that is – 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and a few healthy snacks… enough nutritious food to sustain a child throughout the entire weekend. Food deliveries go to participating schools and repeated every weekend throughout the entire school year.
