Goals

1. 1.Over 50% of our Medicaid clients seen today for Occupational Therapy (OT) support are also living with a Mental Health diagnosis. We need neuro-affirming and trauma-informed care by OTs working with pediatric clients. 14 OTs will be trained through didactic and supervised clinical experiences in incorporating mental health practices for their clients who also have a behavioral health diagnosis.
2. 2.Neuro became the first organization of its kind designated by the Oregon Health Authority as a culturally specific service provider under its Culturally & Linguistically Specific Behavioral Health Services (CLSS) Enhanced Payment Program. The designation will provide crucial support for historically minoritized patients and the clinical providers on the frontlines Oregon's youth health crisis.
3. 3.In 2023 we added/expanded delivery of Nature-Based therapy into all clinics and trained 16 Neuro providers including 3 Occupational Therapists, 1 Naturopath, and 8 mental health interns in the modality. In 2024 we will pilot use of this therapy in pediatric skills-building groups an summer camps to welcome more young people off our extensive waiting lists.
