To lead, educate, and nurture New Jersey’s children, families, and professionals by providing best practice in oral deaf education through innovative communication strategies, state of the art technology, and research based educational practices.
Goals
- 1.SSS is currently developing a three-year strategic plan to set measurable and actionable steps across the organization. It will prioritize areas such as enhancing student opportunities, increasing public awareness of our mission, optimizing philanthropic engagement, and driving growth. This roadmap will empower the School to thrive in an evolving landscape.
- 2.We analyze data & review research on an on-going basis to inform programming decisions. Consistent with national mental health trends, the students and families we serve require an increased level of support for mental health related matters. Therefore, we recently hired a social worker to support of families & students to ensure they can maximize their listening and spoken language outcomes.
- 3.Summit Speech School is committed to ensuring that deaf/hard of hearing children have access to hearing, learning and brain development. To this end, SSS recently purchased new state-of-the-art equipment for the School’s onsite Audiology Center. This new equipment enables the school to expand our Audiology Services to current students and the community at large.
