Goals

1. 1.Promote plant conservation activities that ensure stewardship of imperiled native plants. Support high quality conservation collections to double the number of globally imperiled species and their populations represented in the National Collection. Expand our knowledge of long-term preservation of exceptional species through collections, research, and adding new partners to the CPC network.
2. 2.Advance conservation science by developing and promoting best plant conservation practices, spearheading research, synthesizing information, and sharing results broadly. Facilitate network participation in research designed to address critical plant conservation needs.
3. 3.Develop robust and active network of conservation partners. Seek conservation partners that have capacity to steward imperiled native plants. Target institutions with a track record for conservation activities and those from regions with imperiled native plants not currently safeguarded in the National Collection.
