Vision

Our vision for the future is one in which all those impacted by mental illness will realize their full potential, living and working as independently as possible, in a respectful and understanding society. Families will be better equipped to support and advocate for their loved ones while caring for their own needs, there will be unfettered access to the most effective treatment and services and the greater Mercer County community will be the model for excellence and inclusivity.

Goals

1. 1.Increase access to NAMI Mercer resources and quality information about mental health: • Expand use of NAMI Mercer’s navigation and referral resources. • Increase partnerships that facilitate ready access to NAMI Mercer resources.• Build recognition of NAMI Mercer as an essential resource for mental health. • Ensure that diverse communities are aware of and accessing NAMI Mercer’s resources.
2. 2.Expand NAMI Mercer’s work into new communities, adapting programs to meet expressed needs. • Build new partnerships that allow NAMI Mercer to reach new people, understand their needs, and design programs that address them. • Increase the number of volunteer advocates in community organizations that connect people to NAMI Mercer and advocate for mental health.
3. 3.• Increase revenue to support infrastructure enhancement. • Build adequate staff and volunteer resources to achieve strategic goals. • Strengthen board structure and composition to promote engagement and effectiveness. • Adopt an effective corporate and membership structure that supports long-term stability.
