Vision

Our vision is that a transformative performing arts education in an inclusive community is accessible to everyone.

Goals

1. 1.Wharton Arts will strengthen its business model for long-term financial stability. Strategies will include expanding and strengthening the board; investing in institutional marketing; financial planning; fundraising; and optimizing the organization’s operations, facilities, and human resources. A cost analysis of program and administrative expenses is in process per our three-year strategic plan.
2. 2.Wharton Arts will increase participation across our four core programs: New Jersey Youth Chorus, New Jersey Youth Symphony, Performing Arts School, and Paterson Music Project. Strategies include increasing scholarship opportunities, expanding programming for lifetime learners, and offering free concerts and programming at accessible locations in the communities we serve.
3. 3.Wharton Arts will develop the infrastructure needed to support our programs’ success. Strategies will include rethinking our structure to reflect the needs of our growing organization; having clear, consistent institutional branding and positioning statements for each program; and tracking performance toward the Strategic Plan goals on a quarterly basis.
