Vision

Inspire a growing understanding by area towns, residents, businesses, and partner organizations of the critical reliance on natural resources; of the climate and other global challenges affecting our daily lives; and of the environmental interconnection that human and natural communities depend on.

Goals

1. 1.Preserve the environmental character of our region: wildlife habitat; intact forestlands; wetland communities; high water quality in lakes, streams, and aquifers; viewsheds; and agricultural, historic and cultural resources.
2. 2.Manage GLLT fee-owned properties in a manner that will balance the sustainable use of natural resources with wildlife needs, and with changing, and expanding human uses including traditional uses.
3. 3.Secure and retain the human resources to meet the core mission priorities, as well as respond to new opportunities and challenges to remain relevant in a changing world.
