Connecticut Housing Partners invests in leadership development for all staff throughout all departments with ongoing training. The operations and property management teams are continually taking workshops which will allow them to be experts in managing the properties. The extensive training required to get RealPage and the kiosks up and running for seamless operations was a huge investment of time and money for the organization.

CHP's significant collaborations and partnerships are in place in all our developments to serve our residents, particularly in our Senior Developments. Services to support the elderly include Meals on Wheels, Homebound for the Holidays, Dementia Champions, Agency on the Aging, On-Site Medicare Education, AARP, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Food Rescue US, Stay at Home in Wilton, (transportation), Social Services through the Senior Centers of Wilton and Trumbull, partnerships with Lowe's for donated spring garden supplies, BJs, Home Depot for other donated needs, Stop and Shop, Alzheimer's Association, to name a few. For our Family developments, additional partnerships include Catholic Charities, Laurel House, Department of Labor, local churches, food pantries, Operation Hope, Good Will, and Project overcome, which is running an After School Homework Program in Trinity Park in Stamford. It is a pilot program, and it is a huge success.

As we continue the battle against COVID-19, inspiring safety and confidence in our communities remains our number one concern. We have made many permanent changes to processes and to the way we operate our business. COVID-19 has forced us to eliminate our interaction with residents to mitigate the spread of the virus. We have increased the cleaning of properties and have invested in foggers, to sanitize the common areas of all properties more often. We continue to offer seamless, outstanding service to our residents to ensure the smooth operation of our business. To limit in-person interaction with residents and for Property Managers to conduct their business “Contactless,” we have invested in RealPage Property Management software to permanently change how residents pay their rent by paying online. Real Page allows resident engagement and staff efficiency. It streamlines day-to-day operations for Property Managers, by allowing residents to enter work orders, maintenance staff to process these, recertification process and it can all be done 24/7. This automated system keeps office operations efficient and organized. We have also invested in Kiosks - one for each property, which will allow residents to pay their rent, manage the recertification process, submit work orders, apply, and check waitlist, perform income change, portability, or transfer requests. The Kiosks will allow residents to access RealPage if they do not have access to the software on their own device.
