THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED TO PERFORM VARIOUS CULTURAL, CIVIC, RECREATIONAL AND CHARITABLE FUNCTIONS THAT HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, MA IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE GREATER SPRINGFIELD AREA.
