Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts (SAS)

Mission

Since 1992, we've been our region's most important resource for Massachusetts animals. We are dedicated to helping pets and the people who love them through our shelter which finds homes for an average of 550+ pets each year, and our humane programs which seek to address the root causes of pet homelessness.

Vision

We want a world where fewer pets need our help. To achieve this, we have active plans to aid more pet owners facing difficulty, whether it be financial, physical, or emotional, with a goal of enabling them to keep their pets where they belong: at home with them. We also foresee increased population control efforts, especially for some of our region's most vulnerable animals: feral and street cats. Our new surgical suite could in future be used for more TNR efforts for feral cats, for example.
