This engagement identified key areas in which YouthBuild USA should invest to better serve local programs in order to better support them in their work with opportunity youth – to more effectively and efficiently engage young people and prepare them for lifelong learning, livelihood, and leadership.
YouthBuild USA changed the way we collect information from local programs, opening up new lines of communication; shifted staffing structure to better respond to local program needs; and tailored programmatic and technical assistance to the timely and strategic needs of our network. This includes more specific communities of practice, new supports around fundraising and sustainability, and other training, resources, and professional development opportunities for the network of independent YouthBuild programs that we support.
