Mission

Our mission is to help end hunger in the greater Wareham/New Bedford area by giving food to the people in need, promoting education and hunger awareness in the community, and providing information to our guests regarding other community resources. We welcome people of every age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, handicap, marital status, sexual orientation, or any status, including the homeless, without discrimination. We collaborate with other organizations that share the mission to alleviate hunger in the area.

Goals

1.We are presently in the midst of a capital campaign to build a new facility. This will allow us to expand community services to our guests.
2.In our new facility (expected to be complete by 12/31/23) we will be able to offer 'food choice' to our guests. Due to space constraints in our present facility, we are prepackaging grocery baskets.
3.Our goal is to become a 'hub' of information for our guests providing information to other community services that are available in our community.
