Vision

At TiKVA Children’s Home, we care for Jewish children who have experienced abandonment, abuse, displacement, or war. For nearly three decades, TiKVA has provided vulnerable children in Ukraine and other regions of the Former Soviet Union with a safe home, quality Jewish and secular education, emotional support, and the stability every child deserves. As war continues to reshape the lives of families across Ukraine and Israel, our mission has expanded. TiKVA supports orphans, students, and elderly in Odessa; orphans, refugee children, families, and caregivers rebuilding their lives in Romania; and alumni and their families in Israel. Wherever our children are, our commitment remains the same: to provide safety, dignity, education, Jewish community, and a pathway toward a stable and hopeful future.

Goals

1. 1.Sustain Care in Ukraine Continue operating schools and care programs under active war conditions Expand food distribution and support for vulnerable families and the elderly Provide ongoing trauma-informed mental health services Identify and bring new at-risk children into care whenever possible
2. 2.Stabilize and Transition in Romania Support children and families as they move from displacement to stability Expand access to education, mental health care, and daily support Strengthen employment pathways to increase independence Continue housing support for families still in transition
3. 3.Strengthen Lifelong Support Maintain connection with alumni and families beyond residential care Ensure continuity of support across Ukraine, Romania, and Israel Provide ongoing access to education, housing, and mental health resources
