Mission

The Corporation has been dedicated since its founding in 1952 to (i) providing emergency medical service for the benefit of the Village of South Orange and nearby areas, as necessity may require, without regard to race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender or gender identity, age, nationality, ethnicity, or religion; (ii) answering emergency medical calls and rendering emergency medical services to the sick, injured or disabled; (iii) cooperating with and assisting other organizations in disaster relief work; (iv) providing and maintaining ambulance service to and from hospitals and other medical facilities; (v) fostering and encouraging the teaching of approved emergency medical procedures and life-saving techniques; and (iv) generally engaging in and carrying on any and all functions and operations consistent with the foregoing.
