Lower Merion Conservancy

Mission

The Lower Merion Conservancy protects and enhances our community’s character and quality of life, recognizing that the sustainable management of our environmental and historic resources is inextricably intertwined with both conservation and change. The Conservancy advocates for policies, programs, and projects that support its vision for the community and builds an informed constituency that can actively support this vision.

1.Improve the water quality in our local streams. Healing streams and reducing flood risk requires a collective effort throughout our neighborhoods.
2.Protect the historic architecture, natural resources and open space in Lower Merion and Narberth. We aim to double our number of conservation easements held by the Conservancy.
3.Grow our school partnership programs to reach more elementary, middle and high school students and encourage them to protect the beautiful area we call home.
