Blue White Scholarship Foundation
Mission
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation is an Independent non-profit corporation composed of alumni and friends of Villanova University. Its Mission is to: A) Provide "Bridge the Gap" tuition scholarships to deserving Villanova University students who have experienced financial difficulty. We help cover the 20% Gap in financial aid as reported t the US News and World Report -College Issue. B) Mentor Scholarship Recipients, and provide Mini-Conferences ( 1. Business Etiquette 2. A Guide to Understanding Personal Finance 3. Strategies for paying Student Loans ) and networking opportunities to assist them in their employment and professional advancement and C) Encourage Scholarship recipients to "Pay It Forward" for their financial assistance by Blue White Scholarship Foundation so that there may be continued financial assistance for future students.
Vision
The Blue White Scholarship Foundation envisions a future where no Villanova undergraduate student is forced to abandon their academic journey due to financial hardship. Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to graduate, regardless of their economic circumstances.
Goals
- 1.We launched Spring 2026 a Mini-Conference to teach about Understanding Personal Finance. The seminar included: Learning About CREDIT, LOANS, FINANCIAL PLANNING (IRA's and ROTHs 401(K) and EXIT STRATEGIES FOR STUDENT LOANS; Goal: Financial Literacy to help Blue White Students manage their debt obligations. Goal: To bring in more speakers and improve the seminar after student feedback is given.
- 2.Extend our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn through pictures and students provided by our scholarship recipients.
- 3.Develop current pictures and biographical information of ~320 former Blue White Scholars over the last 25 years. Presented this information in a 300+ page book called "Where are they now" to celebrate our history and our former students' success.
