    The Action Center

    Mission

    The Action Center's mission is to provide an immediate response to those in our community experiencing a hardship and by offering the resources and services needed to stabilize lives and promote pathways to lasting change. We do this through our continuum of services to families and individuals from across the metro Denver region. Founded in 1968 by local churches and the Jefferson County Human Relations Council, the Action Center began as a grassroots effort to support neighbors in need. Over the years, we evolved into a comprehensive human services organization, providing not only basic needs such as food and clothing but financial assistance and deeper goal-setting work to help families overcome hardships. Our dedicated staff work with 80 volunteers a day to assist over 40,000 people a year from across the metro Denver region.
