Vision

The Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation wants to connect with every person with OI and share with them the resources we have to help guide them through their journey with OI. We want to be that welcoming organization that can connect people across the country and sometimes around the world so that they have access to the latest information on OI research and education and we want to provide spaces both in person and virtually for mutual support.

Goals

1. 1.We want to expand our current information center to include information for new parents, those with a new diagnosis, adults with OI and those transitioning from pediatric to adult care. We want to ensure that information is available when someone needs it, during whatever stage of life they are in.
2. 2.We want to expand the number of professionals involved in OI research so that we can continue providing new and improved treatments for those with OI. We would like to provide more funding for our Geisman Fellowships so that early stage investigators will stay involved and engaged in OI research.
3. 3.We want to secure funding for our very important national conference and regional conference program so that everyone with OI has the opportunity to attend an OIF meeting. At these meetings people are able to connect with others with OI and meet medical professionals that they may be able to add to their care teams.
