Vision

Every student is empowered to achieve his or her full potential through access to postsecondary education.

Goals

1. 1.Provide scholarships and financial aid advising to local students and families. Strategies: 1.) Provide advising services throughout Santa Barbara County. 2.) Deliver scholarships to county students who meet awards criteria. 3) Ensure that student and alumni voices are represented in SFSB’s future direction. And 4.) determine the feasibility of additional advising or support options.
2. 2.Build awareness about SFSB’s services and impact, the value of postsecondary education, and the need for student financial support. Strategies: 1.) Implement a marketing and PR plan to enhance community awareness of SFSB’s services and impact. 2.) Attract new donors and strengthen relationships with current donors. And 3.) develop lifelong relationships with constituent groups.
3. 3.Invest in strategies to ensure extraordinary human capital and an unparalleled ability to make data-driven decisions. Strategies: 1.) Conduct a staff needs assessment; ensure we can train, hire, and retain extraordinary staff. 2.) Ensure that North County needs are reflected in personnel and decision-making. And 3.) foster a culture that embraces collaboration, achievement, and a growth mindset.
