Public Counsel envisions an equitable society where all people thrive, with systems and laws delivering the promise of justice to all.

Goals

1. 1.Public Counsel aims to leverage resources, including pro bono, to best meet diverse client and community needs. We are working to review all projects to adjust mix of methods and determine best use of resources and areas for growth; expand programming and outreach and engage in pro bono to maximize meaningful impact; gather and use client input; and integrate community lawyering and social work.
2. 2.Public Counsel aims to sustain and grow our financial strength and systems. We are working to significantly expand fundraising to support our staff, sustain our current work, and expand our capacity to address emerging priorities. We are also revitalizing and enhancing the finance function to support current and projected budgets, report on key metrics over time, and manage risks and complexities.
3. 3.Public Counsel aims to retain, advance, and empower staff and prioritize their wellness within an inclusive, collaborative environment. We are working nurture an exceptional workplace; further diversify staff and bolster diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts; strengthen interconnectedness among staff; and promote open communication between staff and the community and staff and the Board.
