Vision

HYC seeks to bring transformation to our clients and the communities we serve by consistently delivering programs, services, and life skills training that build resilience and empower youth, adults, and families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency, financial independence and behavioral health wellness.

Goals

1. 1.We identified the following area to address - expand advocacy and prevention services to address the increasing opioid challenge faced by youth and families. Many youths are not even truly aware that they have an issue or that self-medicating with counterfeit drugs is high-risk activity given the fentanyl crisis. We constantly seek to educate and present healthy choices for young people.
2. 2.Advocate for creating school policies that address substance use from a public health lens rather than a zero tolerance, punitive approach. Develop a model with local school district to prioritize keeping youth engaged in their education by providing a continuum of on-campus substance use prevention, early intervention, and treatment services for students decreasing suspensions/expulsions by 90%.
3. 3.We have implemented employee recruitment and retention strategies to expeditiously hire and retain key behavioral health staff including hybrid work schedules, hiring and retention incentives/bonuses, productivity bonuses, educational support, promotional opportunities, and invested in teambuilding activities to build a more inclusive organizational culture.
