Mission

The Carlos Otis Clinic’s mission is to provide exceptional, accessible, physician-led medical care to the Stratton Mountain community and surrounding rural Vermont towns—delivering urgent, orthopedic and general medical services when and where they are needed. As an independent nonprofit medical facility, the Clinic brings together a distinctive volunteer physician model, connecting experienced specialists from acclaimed medical institutions with a rural mountain community. The Clinic also serves as an educational hub, providing residents and other medical professionals with opportunities to learn and practice in a sports / rural and mountain environment. Through its Urgent Care, Stratton Mountain Rescue and collaboration with the broader mountain emergency-response network, the Clinic helps strengthen the region’s ability to respond to injury, illness and medical emergencies while contributing to a safer, more prepared community.
