Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Mercer

Mission

The Jewish Community Foundation is organized to promote philanthropy and to further the charitable needs of the Jewish community, other charitable institutions, and community organizations. This is accomplished through the establishment of donor advised funds and custodial funds representing nonprofit institutions. Grants are made from funds at the Foundation to both Jewish and secular charitable organizations. The Foundation is dedicated to sustaining Jewish institutions in our region through the growth of Legacy Funds. These funds, held at JCFGM, are similar to endowments and grow over time as new legacy (or planned) gifts are deposited and invested.
