Through immersive programs, hands-on engagement, and community partnerships, we make the past accessible, inspire future generations, and ensure that the legacy of railroading remains a living, moving force in our region through enriching, educational, and entertaining experiences that bring railroad history to life.

Goals

1. 1.Volunteer-powered and nonprofit, Fort Wayne Railroad delivers experiences celebrating the Golden Age of Railroading — America’s 1930s–1950s era of innovation and connection. Building on 50+ years of preservation success, it launched the Indiana Rail Experience in 2022, earning Indiana’s “Best New Experience” and welcoming 70,000 visitors in under 120 days, generating $5 million in regional impact.
