Humane Association of Warren County-Ohio
Mission
The mission of the Humane Association of Warren County is to protect, advocate for, and enhance the lives of animals in our community. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care, shelter, and medical services to homeless, abused, and neglected pets while promoting responsible pet ownership through education, outreach, and spay/neuter programs. Through our efforts, we strive to reduce pet overpopulation, prevent animal cruelty, and find loving homes for every animal in our care. We work collaboratively with local agencies, volunteers, and donors to build a community where animals are treated with kindness, respect, and dignity. At the core of our mission is a commitment to saving lives and strengthening the bond between people and animals. Whether through adoption services, low-cost veterinary care, or humane education, we aim to create a brighter future for animals and the people who love them.
Vision
We envision a community where every animal is valued, protected, and given the opportunity to live a safe, healthy, and loved life. Through compassionate care, innovative programs, and strong community partnerships, we strive to create a future where homelessness and suffering among animals are rare, and the bond between people and pets is strengthened for generations to come.
Goals
- 1.A core goal of our shelter is to continually assess the evolving needs of our community and respond with purpose. By listening, learning, and adapting, we develop innovative programs and services that address gaps in care, support both animals and the people who love them, and create meaningful, lasting impact.
- 2.A core goal of our shelter is to continually evaluate and strengthen our existing programs to ensure they are as effective and impactful as possible. Through ongoing assessment, feedback, and innovation, we strive to refine our services, expand their reach, and provide the highest level of care and support to the animals and community we serve.
- 3.Building on more than 50 years of service, our goal is to carry this legacy forward with renewed energy and purpose. We are committed to growing, evolving, and expanding our impact so that we can serve even more animals and people in the years to come, ensuring our mission continues to make a meaningful difference for generations.
