Mission

Better ATX is an all-volunteer philanthropic organization that transforms the lives of children, individuals, and families by meeting essential needs through direct, community-based programs that promote dignity, stability, opportunity, and well-being. Better ATX supports children, teens, and adults across the greater Austin area through a range of targeted programs. We serve Austin-area students and schools, underserved individuals and families, Austin Community College students and patients at Dell Children’s Medical Centers—providing resources, encouragement, and opportunities for a brighter future. Better ATX is dedicated to providing services that address specific, basic needs of children and adults in the community of Austin and Travis County Texas, significantly improving the quality of their lives.
