Mission

Heart of the Valley (HOV) is an animal shelter located in Bozeman with the mission to compassionately shelter the lost and surrendered pets of Gallatin and Madison valleys, and to enhance the lives of people and companion animals through pet adoption and education. HOV cares for more than 3,500 cats and dogs every year. We are an "open admission" shelter which means that HOV accepts any dog or cat brought to our doors, regardless of condition or circumstance. We serve our community by providing programs and services designed to meet the needs of "both ends of the leash" -- pets and the people who love them.
