Mission

Founded in 1975, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide education, employment and training for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to maximize the quality of life for each individual served. <br><br>Goodwill of Southern Nevada, Inc. is an innovative and sustainable social enterprise that turns donations of "gently used" goods into new jobs and new careers for the members of our local community. Thus, the revenues from Goodwill's retail, post-retail and e-commerce operations cover the agency's administrative and overhead costs, allowing 100 percent of financial contributions to be directed to client services. <br><br>Since the agency began providing workforce development services in 1997, it has served 45,433 through the end of 2012. During the same time frame, the agency's employment programs have put 8,039 people back to work! <br>
