IOCC cultivates relationships with strategic partners, including the Orthodox Church and its humanitarian/social ministries, ecumenical and secular partners, international and national NGOs, and local organizations. Partnerships are key to IOCC’s approach. Worldwide, IOCC participates in forums, clusters, working groups, and cross-organizational networks working in similar program areas to maximize effectiveness and share learning. IOCC is a member of InterAction, the largest US-based alliance of international NGOs and partners. IOCC's communications and marketing teams share impact, needs, and updates through a marketing program that includes email, social media, direct mail, volunteer-led events, and more. IOCC staff lead and train volunteers to work in various capacities—for example, disaster preparedness, response, and recovery projects under IOCC's US program. Additionally, volunteers lead dozens of US fundraising events yearly, sharing IOCC’s work and engaging new supporters.
