    Tisch MS Research Center of New York

    Mission

    The Tisch MS Research Center of New York is dedicated to finding the cause of and cure for multiple sclerosis. Tisch MS focuses on translational research, bringing findings quickly from the laboratory into clinical application to treat symptoms of MS and to halt or reverse damage caused by the disease. The Tisch Multiple Sclerosis Research Center of New York was formally launched in 2006, but traces its lineage to the MS center at the Neurological Institute of New York of the Columbia University Medical Center. The research center performs groundbreaking investigations into the cause of MS, biomarker research aimed at developing precise diagnostic and predictive tools to bring the disease under the control of treating neurologists, and novel regenerative strategies for repairing the damage done by the disease in patients who are unresponsive to standard treatments.
