California Dance Institute transforms the lives of Los Angeles public school students through the joy and rigor of dance. CDI’s profound, life-affirming instruction goes beyond teaching dance as a skill. CDI ignites a passion for movement and self-expression, cultivates confidence and resilience, and builds essential life skills that empower children to thrive far beyond the stage.

Goals

1. 1.Increase the number of clients schools and students served each year through partnerships, short-term residencies and increased programming.
2. 2.With the hiring of our new ED, CDI will professionalize its organizational structure, fiscal management and governance. This will be seen in the annual report and other data metrics.
3. 3.We will raise our brand and profile through advocacy at the intersectionality of physical fitness and performing arts. This will be measured in increased social media awareness, focused partnerships, and key data being regularly reported.
