Mission

To serve the Warfighter Community by providing programs and services that foster the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual independence of our service members, combat Veterans, their Caregivers, families, and Allies who served alongside them in combat, achieved through: • Innovative mobility and adaptive technologies and therapies for combat Veterans; • Suicide prevention; • Caregiver and family support; • Veteran advocacy with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, other government agencies, federal and state legislators, and other partners.

Vision

We believe every service member, Veteran, Caregiver, their families, and Allies who served alongside our troops, who have been impacted by their service to our nation, deserve to have their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual independence restored.

Goals

1.Through constant monitoring and advocacy efforts, The Independence Fund will create, adapt, and implement programs and services to meet the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of wounded Veterans, their caregivers and families.
2.Build a high-performing development team for long-term sustainability. This includes investing in tools and resources for major gift fundraising, supporting long-term donor engagement, and building capacity for planned giving.
3.Identify potential strategic partners with which to build a network of collaboration with competitors, partner with states to expand the FRAG/VJI training programs, and identify smaller organizations with compatible missions for possible collaboration.
