Mission

Mission: Forging ways for women & girls in extreme poverty to learn, connect and lead. Education: Mercy Beyond Borders funds girls’ elementary schools and scholarships for them to attend high schools and universities in South Sudan, Haiti, Uganda, Kenya and Malawi. These educated young women will have fewer children, better nutrition, healthier families, employment, and higher standards of living. They will also prioritize education for their family, thus breaking the cycle of poverty. Leadership & Advocacy: Mercy Beyond Borders will not be the one who stops the marginalization of females living in extreme poverty. We cannot grant them rights in their cultures and civil societies. No, that work belongs to the women and girls themselves. They are the ones who will do it! Our role is to forge ways for these women and girls to learn, connect and lead. We open doors, provide resources, and instill an ethic of “paying it forward”. Then we stand back and cheer as they claim their voice and advocate for change.
