Vision

Everytown's original goal was simple: build a counterweight to the gun lobby, powered by a grassroots army that was just as loud and passionate as the NRA. Today, Everytown and our network of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action groups have nearly 11 million supporters – more than double the NRA’s membership. There's still a lot of work to be done, and we continue to make life-saving progress every day.

Goals

1. 1.Everytown Law is the largest team of litigators in the country dedicated to advancing gun safety in the courts. We have won major victories against gun manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, securing multi-million-dollar settlements for clients. We have defended state and local gun safety laws against 2nd Amendment and preemption challenges. We continue to grow in size, scope, and impact.
2. 2.Everytown Research & Policy conducts independent research, supports evidence-based policies, and communicates this knowledge to the public. Our most used research tool is our annual Gun Law Rankings, which measure states based on 50 key gun safety policies. We use research to strengthen our advocacy and inform our targeted approach to tackling gun violence.
3. 3.The Everytown Community Safety Fund supports organizations implementing community-based violence intervention programs operating in cities nationwide. We deliver resources to help community-based violence intervention organizations sustain and scale their essential, lifesaving work via direct investment through grants, capacity-building training, peer convenings and advocacy campaigns.
