Mission

The mission of the Earth Discovery Institute is to conduct habitat restoration and environmental education serving under-resourced youth.

An engaged community, actively supporting the conservation of San Diego’s unique biodiversity.

1.Pre-covid, most of our educational programs targeted students. When schools were shut down, we lost access to students and realized we had been missing the opportunity to engage entire communities.
2.To achieve lasting impact, we need to expand our reach both through community engagement and education, and direct conservation projects.
3.To achieve the above goals, we will need to hire additional staff, and also increase our capacity to network and fundraise.
