Vision

Our vision is that DC youth become agents of positive change in their communities. Kid Power helps youth develop academically while inspiring them to become engaged leaders and advocates. We are committed to elevating youth voice, advancing equity in the District, equipping youth with the tools to be confident agents of positive change, and providing opportunities that encourage informed, healthy decision-making. Together with our partners, Kid Power students work to build a strong, healthy, and resilient community each day.

Goals

1. 1.Grow our mentoring program by leveraging alumni involvement to provide ongoing resources and opportunities to inspire youth and strengthen communities.
2. 2.Expand the High Impact Tutoring program to provide additional academic support to students attending Title 1 DC Public Schools, addressing learning loss resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. 3.Enhance our Health and Wellness initiatives by expanding school-based food markets, promoting increased community engagement and ownership of school garden spaces.
